I went to the Alaska view lodge for more of a retreat rather than a vacation, although most of the people surrounding me were bird watchers, anglers and even hunters! The lodge is truly amazing even words cannot describe the beauty of the scenery, the lodge is idyllic , just the perfect combination of cute and sweet with a touch of country! Obviously it's the staff that makes every memory here, they just go above and beyond anyone's expectations. If you want something, just ask (you will be impressed with their response) Rarely have I ever been to an establishment and been so pleasantly surprised not only by the customer service but also by the knowledge of the surrounding areas and great food! Benz makes it look easy, just an omelet for the lady no problem, home made jams and pats I couldn't believe my eyes! The whole experience was memorable and although I know they must have slaved for hours chef Benz made it look effortless, as did Aiden his co worker and jack of all trades... As it turns out he's a great chef too! I saw Aiden cook breakfast, stoke the fire and even do dishes and laundry in only 1 hour. Now there's a man to marry! Kidding aside, these men make the experience worth while, there is not a single thing you can ask these guys that they don't deliver on! Be reasonable though please, you are in the middle of nowhere and in order to give you the best service possible they require a 48 hour notice if not moreThey are an exceptional crew. The hot tubs, the view, and oh my gosh did I mention the service!? I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else! The crew made this place memorable, irreplaceable and just too darn good to ever pass up a visit as long as Aiden is there, I will return.Like I said before praise is just not something I hand out lightly, this crew deserves a big hand of applause. I'll see yall soon!

I had the once in a lifetime chance to go to Alaska View Lodge and the whole experience was just fabulous. I want to thank Benz ,a great chef for his hospitality and wonderful meals. As well as Aiden and Catherine for being outgoing and friendly. Overall a grand experience. Thank-you, Jan
